So before you begin outline why you want to do this? What HP goals you have? What is your budget? Then triple your budget and you might have something. Which gears? How/where do you drive and how important is fuel mileage vs power. Although your car will not be 'lumpy' it will get you off the line faster. The most bang for the buck is rear gears, in my opinion.

As long as the heads are off, you might as well have some port work done, bigger valves, etc, etc, etc. To do the valve springs it is easiest if you remove the heads. To change the cam the lifters, rods, rockers and intake will need to be removed. I would suggest you also change to a 1.6 roller rocker if the push rods will fit. Lope is cool I will admit, but not always the best way to judge performance. It will cost way more to rebuild considering the time required to rid the engine of debris and the parts you have to replace. Do NOT buy this set thinking you will save money. Maybe I just got unlucky and got the smallest diameter sprocket, just speaks to their variation control. You won't find that feature in any decent timing set from a competent company. The different timing adjustment slots have nice right corners, perfect for stress fractures. 050 tappet lift (intake/exhaust) is 165/175 and maximum lift with 1.5:1 rocker ratio. It is not just the lifters, the cam suffers from the same terrible material. The cam eats away at the lifters chewing them down my 1/8' in 20 minutes.
